I'm waiting for the draw as well but i've been left with my pants down recently by various draw advantages.
I thought the high draw at Beverley was nailed on. Turned out they watered less on the side of those drawn low and so the ground was alot better for the horses drawn there. T
he first and second ended up being drawn in stalls 1 and 2. Of course they only decided to mention this after the race. The draw at Musselburgh was supposed to favour those drawn low but the horses came up the middle of the course in both sprints. Im a little wary now Ascot have decided, wrongly in my view, to water. I wait to see how it rides in the Coventry before I commit myself to a selection in the Kings Stand. In the King's Stand I have Miss Andretti at 5-1 and may have a little on Benbaun if the price goes over 12-1.
In the Queen Anne I have had my biggest bet of the season so far on Ramonti at 11-2. I will prob. take some of this off.
Cesare is imv too short and George Washington a huge gamble. Jeremy is longer than I expected, tho' he may need a faster pace than is likely.
In the 3yo Gp1 on the first day I agree that Astronomer Royal is the value. Personally I don't think that Dutch Art will turn round the Guineas form (indeed stand to lose on this).I make Creachadoir overpriced.
Haven't played in the two big betting hcaps yet--plat, your Royal Oath bet is looking better and better; I can see this going off 8-1 or so; although its big-field results are mixed, it's one ofthefew plausible winners so long as the ground rides firm. Military Cross wd also be of interest in these conditions, and I am the only person on the other thread who likes Shmookh. In the Wokingham have no firm opinions, though' am considering Knot in Wood and Viking Spirit.
Indian Trail is a hard one for me to assess the horse clearly had bags of potential based on its HQ win, but compounded by reflected in the long wait b/f a big betting handicap lost its way, and I'm not sure the move to a sprinters' betting yard has worked the oracle.
I can see Enjoy the Moment attracting a lot of support for the Ascot Stakes. Was foiled in this last year w/ a chunky bet on Leg Spinner though' oddly I prefer others of Martin's this time round..."
