"I'd
be surprised if
Bygone Days
could beat these
with a 7lb
penalty. If he
does then he
could certainly
have a good
chance of
winning a G1
race. 7/1 not
interested
Borderlesscot is
one of my
favourite
horses, he's
tough and very
consistant and a
progressive
decent sprinter
but he is
beatable. And I
could not back
him at 7/4
Baltic King put
a top class
handicapping
performance when
winning the
Wokingham. I'd
rather back him
in a big field
with a strong
pace. 9/2
doesn't appeal.
Kostar put up a
very useful
performance at
Pontefract, but
Ponty form often
doesn't work out
elsewhere and
none of his
other form
suggests he's
good enough. Big
price but
ignoring the
Ponty effort
then he has
about a stone to
find.
Assertive's 5th
at York is
pretty solid
form, he has a
chance but 9/2
for a horse that
hasn't won for a
while, not for
me. Something.
Won impressively
twice on the
polytrack at
Lingfield over
7f. Been gelded
since last
season. He could
win a decent
handicap but
cant really see
him beating
these sprinters.
Fayr Jag, useful
sprinter at one
time. But recent
efforts suggest
he's not quite
good enough
nowadays.
Prince Woodman,
yes very
interesting
cider. Won
impressively on
debut against a
horse that was a
90 rated
handicapper.
very hard to
assess. Pulled
hard last time
off what was
quite a steady
pace for a
sprint. He could
be anything.
draw 1 though
might be a
disadvantage.
will have to see
how what
transpire is the
preceding
handicap over
6f. He could be
worth chancing
but I have my
doubts about
that Haydock
run. I think
I'll watch that
Haydock run
again, I might
have a saver on
him but the race
got a low speed
rating so i'm
unsure of the
form. Definately
worth giving BG
one more chance,
as it would look
a silly price if
he did reproduce
that Ascot form."
