Spain is a tiger economy with massive natural growth, they don´t have so much need to attract investment because they are getting it anyway. In the UK we are already developed and thus have to work a bit harder to attract investment and stimulate growth, thus we are more open. All that relates to the Spanish economy and Spanish society in general.

As regards football clubs being owned by the fans and the fans having the right to elect their president, plenty of English fans would very happily forego the extra investment for such a privilege. because of the political situation or change in ownership rites in spain. I think we forget the immense change in 30 years in the political situation in Spain (or dont know anything about it). But the immense change at the top i.e becoming a democracy does not mean that the grass roots and elderly have changed their ways  ....."
