Lazio v Juventus
Lazio will play Juventus at Oilmpico Stadium on
Wednesday evening for the Coppa Italia Final first leg match.
The capital club will have to start without Claudio Loppez as
the Argentinian international is back in Argentina due to some
family problems. With Roberto Muzzi unlikely to feature, Lazio
boss Roberto Mancini will be facing shortage of firepower. However,
Sinisa Mihajlovic will most probably feature despite suffering
from slight muscle strain after the weekend's league match while
Fabio Liverani will miss out this crucial tie due to injury he
occurred during club training. Juventus boss Marcelo Lippi will
have to start without seven main players for the match at Olimpico
Stadium against Lazio on Wednesday evening. Alessandro Del Piero,
David Trezeguet, Gianluca Zambrotta, Paolo Montero, Alessandro
Birindelli and Mark Iuliano are all injured. Ciro Ferrara is suspended.
The "Old Lady" goes into this game in low morale
after they were knocked out from the Champions League by Deportivo
La Coruna and defeat at the hands of AC Milan over the weekend.
Juve does not have good record against Lazio after losing one
Coppa Italia final and two Super Cups to the capital outfit. With
so many main players unavailable forthis clash, Lippi have included
five youth team players into his 20-man squad which inlcuded reserve
keeper Antonio Chimenti who might start at the expense of Buffon.
Without Del Piero and Trezeguet, Juventus will be hoping not to
conceed to many goals in order to stage a fightback at Delle Alpi
Stadium for the second leg of this cup competition. With Lazio
eager to win a place in next season's European competition, expect
Mancini to play an all out attacking game.
